Jobs are earned by defeating asterisk holders, and rebuilding the town of Norende offers a parallel progression track that yields shops, items and upgrades over time.

The original networking features have been rebuilt for current online infrastructure, letting players trade support in the town reconstruction and summon friends’ attacks during battle.
