Salvation: Echoes of War is a third-person adventure game that unfolds inside a dreamlike version of purgatory, where memory, guilt and imagination blur together. The central figure is a bomber pilot who suffers critical injuries when his aircraft is torn apart during a raid in the Second World War. Rather than dying outright, he slips into a coma, and the world he wakes into is a distorted reflection of his own mind.
