A surprising ‘JACKPOT!!!’ in the annual Summer Steam Sale flood of games. Friends, I’ve played a lot of games in the last two weeks– most for less than 15 minutes, which is how long my inner critic takes to start yelling ‘this My inner critic was dead silent for the last 45 minutes. Atmospheric. Intriguing. Speaks to the player diagetically, with great care taken in that communication. And it’s fun. Old fashioned shooting space spiders in confined spaces-fun.

This is the best $/fun value I received in this Summer Sale period. I am frankly shocked that there hasn’t been more hoopla in the gaming press about this one. Did I mention it had zero (no) technical issues in about an hour of gameplay? A competing AAAA game just CTD on me this morning. This game shows an astonishing level of polish. Oh, and there’s voice acting. Competent, if not showy, voice acting. In a game who’s entire budget was probably less than what Ubisoft paid for ‘Tavern Texture Set #45-#46’ A round of applause. I can’t wait to have another lunch break soon where I can sneak some play in with this game
