I just finally was able to get octopath traveller and it was well worth the wait. Highly recommend it, imagine a SaGa game having an older gen final fantasy game’s storytelling depth. It was so refreshing having a game take a step away from formulaic boy band MMO combat tunnels and have a real adventure and fantasy world underneath and the beautiful paper mario-ish diorama visuals that feel like a friend with a basement roleplaying game had unlimited time, funds, and artistic talent make it a masterpiece. Five stars from me

Great turn based JRPG. Wish that the class stories mixed but since you can play without grabbing all 8 characters that might be too hard to program. Great JPRG from Square, one of the few triple A titles that lives up to the hype and is worth paying full price. I highly recommend using a controller, it’ll make the game easier to play. I thought Olberic had some legendary unbending blade because he said MY BLADE IS UNBENDING but I gave him swords and stuff from shops so I was confused and it turns out he’s apparently just named The Unbending Blade Amazing game and the art is lovely. I am truly hoping for more games similar to Octopath Traveler! It would be interesting if in the future choices could be implemented but anyways… There aren’t a lot of sprawling jrpgs in the older pre-FF7 sense of nostalgia that truly shine like this one. It will pull you in the story, mechanics and it does take some time to get through.
