As someone who has played previous escape room games from this developer, I have to say Pyramids & Aliens is a massive step forward, especially in the visual department. The environments are gorgeous, with detailed textures and lighting that make the alien temple and Egyptian pyramid settings feel alive. You can tell a lot of care went into creating the atmosphere. The puzzles are as engaging as ever, with just the right balance of challenge and logic. Definitely worth playing! have to say this was a very well thought out game. The puzzles were just hard enough – a few that were pretty easy and a few that had me looking at the screen thinking “Just what the hell do they expect me to do here?” In every case it was just a matter of stepping back and either sleeping on the info I already had or tackling something else to provide the necessary spark to solve the problem. I especially liked that no answer was simply handed to you, like moving a book and seeing a piece of paper with a code to a locked box in that room. I appreciate having to work out solutions given the tools and cues from the environment, and piece things together from multiple sources.
