appreciate the effort of the development team, the studio. I feel like this is is a very interesting project that is very good for a specific audience that like walking simulators and the horror genre, to which I normally consider myself. However this is I highly subjective opinion. I am a huge fan of games like Amnesia, Dear Esther. I have zero problems with slow paced games. But Layers of Fear just doesn’t reach the same heights like the ones mentioned. It feels like it wants be up there, do something different yet recognisable but yet doesn’t reach it due to the storyline doesn’t feel engaging enough, nor do the puzzles feel really entertaining. Next to that I just felt like I was dragging myself towards an ending that didn’t feel rewarding at all.
