This game is incredible! Scratches that tactics/card game-y itch like no other. It’s like Into the Breach, but from a different view and you can actually dodge ~95% of hits, so most of the damage taken is actually your fault and you could’ve calculated beforehand and avoided the mistake Really clever and really fun. The music slaps and combined with the setting really makes you feel like a badass ninja dodging hits and outplaying enemies left and right Overall the EA left me wanting more content because this game is the real Great 2D take on grid-strategy type games such as Into the Breach where you have to think several moves ahead to avoid being hamstrung / killed if you overlook future enemy moves. I’ve quite enjoyed playing it in managable 40ish minute chunks per run, trying to shave down times on specific character classes as well. You can get through the somewhat sparse map offerings they have now quickly, but given that it is still early access I’d forgive that sin no sweat.
