I beg we get a season 2 of this. It’s another great entry in the f2f series. It has it’s fair share of bugs which would require restarting from the last checkpoint which was totally fine for a first playthrough but rendered a no death run much harder so I’m holding off on it until a patch. This series peaked in scariness with 3 whereas 4 and 5 are just more of the same as we have come to expect and love but despite the chases losing their impact – the jumpscares still offered a heavy dose of adrenaline and the plot was a lot more involved this time around with good twists. Heavily recommend this entire series to anyone who loves old vhs style ambient horror games. The spooky atmosphere and high detail in the environments is better than ever in this latest episode. I really enjoyed the mini games and felt like more options were available in certain scenarios than previous installments. That said, to me this was the weakest episode in terms of story or plot unfortunately. It missed the mark on having the same charm that the other episodes have in relation to the situation you are in and the story unfolding. I particularly did not enjoy the end sequence – it felt messy and much less clear on what my options were compared to the other episodes. Still I recommend it due to wanting to support the developer to continue making these experiences. It’s still well made and fun to play – especially for the price.
