An entirely mediocre game which is barely playable without throwing Ubisoft more money at every turn. This game had all the ingredients to be a showstopper. Forza Horizons done better. With motorbikes, and boats, and planes, and monster trucks, and ATVs, everything. But as the game intro excessively professes it’s passion for cars the gameplay shows absolutely none. The cars have no character, they all handle the same, the controls feel soggy and the cars flop around like a dead fish. They’re reluctant to turn, they’re reluctant to do anything. The physics would feel dated in a game from 20 years ago. I’ve genuinely felt better driving physics in a free to play phone game. But at every turn you’re reminded of the utter disdain Ubisoft has for its players. The upgrade system is still the same lootbox nonsense of The Crew 2 – a far better game in every regard. An attempt to produce addiction whilst providing no desired upgrades. The income from races has been turned down significantly, now they expect you to purchase cars with real money. If you don’t want to grind for 7 hours you can spend $15 on a supercar. The same cars which are required to unlock progress and story content, no less. So every penny spent feels bad, customization you’re thinking you should instead be saving for that RX-7.
